Cookie Policy
What cookies we use, why, and how to change your choices at any time.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) work in comparable ways. They help sites remember your preferences, measure usage, and — for some sites — support advertising.
How we handle consent
HarborPlain uses a Google-certified consent management platform (CookieYes). Only strictly necessary cookies are set by default. Analytics and advertising cookies do not load until you consent, in regions where consent is required. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link shown on every page.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function and to remember your consent choices. These are always active. Example: the CookieYes consent cookie that records your preferences.
2. Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These load only after you accept analytics cookies.
- Google Analytics 4— aggregate traffic and engagement measurement (cookies such as
_ga). - Microsoft Clarity— anonymized session and heatmap analytics to diagnose usability issues.
3. Advertising
Support the ads that fund the site and, where you consent, help make them more relevant. These load only after you accept advertising cookies.
- Google AdSenseand its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized advertising via Google’s Ads Settings and opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
Local storage (not a cookie)
Our trackers save your inputs — such as a due date or checklist progress — in your browser’s local storage so the tool remembers where you left off. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly opt in to email reminders. You can clear it using the reset button in the tool or by clearing your browser storage.
Managing cookies
You can change your consent at any time via the cookie settings link on this site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if strictly necessary cookies are blocked.
